A Fortune 50 Telecommunications company is offering an extraordinary opportunity to be part of a small, innovative team with a low process, high thought out culture. The team is working on the company Defense Orchestrator, which manages policy and configuration of Security Business Group's firewalls. They are looking for an energetic lead engineer to help us build this innovative product.
-Participate as a technical leader on a fast paced project team of engineers involved in the development of new, cloud-based security products
-Contribute to and lead all phases of software development from requirement gathering through implementation, testing and maintaining multiple code modules
-Contribute to the development of aggressive project goals and schedules
-Create innovative solutions for complex technical problems;
-Lead engineering teams and run projects across a highly distributed engineering team
-Mentor junior engineers
Travel up to once per month to Boston, MA site.
Required Experience and Skills:
-Experience architecting innovative, scalable SaaS products
-Extensive technical depth in core Java, with a focus on scalability and security
-Ability to deliver high quality features with extensive automation coverage, including experience applying test driven development methodology
-Experience developing multiple products from conception to shipping
-Ability to communicate technical concepts to a wide range of audiences spanning executives to junior engineers
-Proven ability to successfully lead distributed teams and run projects across multiple locations
-Knowledge of security technologies including firewalls, IPS, Web Security
Desired Experience and Skills:
-Experience working in a start-up environment
-Agile software development experience
-Experience with network configuration products
